Turn Your Song Into Artwork and Thumbnails
Every track Visualinst analyzes ends as a spiral map of the whole arrangement. Here’s how to capture frames and maps for thumbnails, posts and release visuals.

Every song you load into Visualinst produces something you won’t get anywhere else: a picture of the arrangement itself. Here’s how to turn that into artwork.
The spiral map
Before you press play, and again when the track ends, Visualinst coils the whole song into a spiral. It starts at the center and winds outward to the last bar. Each section has its own color and lane; repeated sections share them; every hit the analysis found is a point of light along the way.
Two songs never produce the same spiral. That makes it a natural visual signature for a release.
Capturing it
- Press O at any point to switch to the overview, or let the track finish.
- Hide the interface with H.
- Zoom and pan with a trackpad or mouse to frame it.
- With Pro, press S to save a PNG of exactly what’s on screen, at your display’s resolution.
Ideas
YouTube thumbnails
The final spiral reads well even at thumbnail size. Capture it in a 16:9 window and add your title in your design app.
Square posts
Resize the window to a square before capturing. The visualizer fills whatever shape the window is.
“Anatomy of the track” carousels
Save a frame at each section change — the trunk forks into a new color each time — and post them in order with a line about each part of the song.
Teasers
Post the spiral before release day, then the visualizer once the song is out. Listeners can match the shape to the music.
A different look every time
RANDOM and the FX panel change palette, bloom, trails and lens effects, so the same song can produce a whole set of artworks.
Frames from playback
The spiral isn’t the only shot worth keeping. With FLUID on, the camera finds 3D angles you’d never set up by hand — pause with Space when you see one and save it.
PNG export, FLUID and the FX panel are part of Visualinst Pro. The spiral map itself is in every plan — try it on one of your songs.
